01 — At a glance
How these Terms map to the product
- Free scan flow. You may upload a resume and job description to receive an ATS-style score and keyword-style breakdown without paying. That experience is still subject to these Terms and to technical limits (including abuse prevention) we apply in our discretion.
- Paid unlock. A one-time purchase can unlock the full AI-generated report for an eligible scan. Fees, taxes, and what is included are presented at checkout before you pay (processed by Stripe).
- Monthly subscription. A recurring subscription may include a monthly allowance of scan credits (for example, credits that reset on your billing date), priority support as described in the product, and other features shown at purchase. Subscription status and billing periods are managed through Stripe and reflected in your account.
- AI analysis. Reports and scores are generated using automated systems (including third-party AI models). They are informational tools to help you improve your resume—not hiring, legal, or professional advice, and not a guarantee of outcomes.
02 — Eligibility
Who may use ATSRank
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
03 — The Service
What we provide
ATSRank provides software tools to analyze how well a resume aligns with a job posting, including scores, keyword insights, and (when purchased) detailed AI outputs such as section feedback and suggested edits. Features, limits, and availability may change; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.
04 — Accounts & security
Sign-in and your responsibilities
You may access certain features through an account (including email sign-in or third-party providers such as Google). You agree to provide accurate information and to safeguard your credentials. Notify us promptly at support@atsrank.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Account deletion features, where offered, are described in the product; deletion may be subject to legal or technical retention limits described in our Privacy Policy.
05 — Fees & payments
Stripe, taxes, and authorization
Paid features require payment through our payment processor, Stripe. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for applicable fees, taxes, and recurring subscription charges until you cancel in accordance with these Terms and the controls in the Service or Stripe customer portal (where available). Prices shown at checkout are part of your agreement for that transaction. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
Refunds. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout or by our support team in writing. If you believe a charge is in error, contact support promptly with your receipt and account email.
06 — Subscriptions & credits
Recurring billing, cancellation, and scan allowances
If you purchase a monthly plan, your subscription renews each billing period until you cancel. You may cancel through the billing controls we make available (for example in your account or through Stripe); cancellation typically stops renewal at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until that period ends unless we state otherwise at purchase. Monthly scan credits (the allowance included with your subscription) are defined in the product at purchase; unused monthly credits expire when the billing period resets, as shown in-app. If your subscription lapses or payment fails, paid features tied to the subscription may be suspended until payment is restored or you purchase again.
Scan top-up packs are one-time purchases of additional scan credits added to your account on top of your monthly allowance. Top-up credits do not expire and carry over across billing periods until used.
One-time purchases (such as unlocking a full report for a specific scan) apply to the feature described at checkout. They do not automatically renew unless you separately subscribe.
07 — Your content
Resumes, job descriptions, and license to us
You retain ownership of materials you upload (such as your resume and pasted job descriptions). To operate the Service, you grant ATSRank a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, and create derivative analyses (including AI outputs) solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service for you—as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights to submit the content you provide and that it does not violate third-party rights or law.
08 — AI outputs
No professional advice; you decide what to submit
Scores, suggestions, and rewrites are generated automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are not legal, tax, HR, or career counseling advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your resume and for complying with laws and employer requirements. Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for hiring decisions (if you are an employer) or application decisions (if you are a candidate).
09 — Acceptable use
What you must not do
- Violate law or infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Upload malware, attempt to break or overload the Service, or bypass security or rate limits (including bot or token checks).
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute bulk access to the Service without written permission.
- Misrepresent your identity, manipulate scores to deceive employers, or use the Service to discriminate unlawfully.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the Service or other users.
10 — Our IP
ATSRank property
The Service, including software, branding, templates, and documentation, is owned by ATSRank or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our proprietary components except as allowed by applicable law.
11 — Disclaimers
Service provided “as is”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that results will help you obtain an interview or job.
12 — Limitation of liability
Cap on damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ATSRank and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50) or the amounts you paid to ATSRank for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to liability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
13 — Indemnity
Your responsibility for your use
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ATSRank and its affiliates, officers, and employees from third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law—except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
14 — Governing law
Where disputes are decided
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that exclusive jurisdiction for disputes related to these Terms or the Service lies in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, except where prohibited by your local law (for example, where you have a non-waivable right to sue in your home courts as a consumer).
15 — Termination
Ending access
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
16 — Changes
Updates to these Terms
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice (such as email or an in-app message). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
